Conca de Barberà
The Conca de Barberà is a very popular destinations for wine lovers. The producion was introduced by the ancient Romans and continue through the Middle Ages thanks also to the work of the monks in the Monastery of Santa Maria del Poblet where it is possible today to visit the basement where it was produced.
Most of the vineyards are located around the historic town of Montblanc, in the north of the province of Tarragona, where the temperate Mediterranean climate contribute to the spreading of the traditional grapes creating a variety of appreciated white, red and rosé wines.
