Metro and light railways

At present Barcelona has 6 metro lines. The visitor also has an urban network of railroads managed by the Government of Catalonia, (FGC), that complements the mentioned metro network.

Stations of FGC:

  • Pl. Espanya (trains to Montserrat, Even, Manresa, Sant Boi and Martorell)
  • Pl. Catalonia (trains to Sabadell, Terrassa, Universitat Autònoma of Barcelona - UAB, Bellaterra- and Sant Cugat of the Vallès).

There are several types of transport tickets to choose from and valid for the network of public transport (metro, trains and buses), with an integrated tariff system that allows you to accede to almost all of them with the same ticket.
