The Poblenou district enjoys its own unique identity of which its inhabitants are very proud. In the past it was a very industrial area which grew at the end of the 19th century. Nowadays it is a very residential area with lots of life, and with all kinds of shops and an excellent market where you can find a variety of fresh produce, and many excellent restaurants offering traditional Catalan food and tapas, as well as contemporay cusine.

The building, which was recently completed, is on the corner of Calle Bilbao and Calle Amistat. Calle Amistat is quiet, narrow pedestrian street that leads to Rambla Poblenou – a small version of the famous Ramblas in the Gothic Quarter. Calle Bilbao is a very wide street that receives sun throughout the day and has gardens, a children‘s playground, and direct access to the beach. The Rambla Poblenou is a delightful street that is full of life that runs down to the sea with many bars and restaurants with terraces where you can sit in the open air and enjoy a cold beer and some of the best tapas in the city.

You can reach the beaches of Barcelona as well as the old part of Poblenou on foot from here. The beach is a great place to take the sun, go for a swim and relax and enjoy your time in Barcelona. You can also stroll along the beach promenade to the Port Olímpic (towards the city) or towards Diagonal Mar and the CCIB – Centre de Convencions Internacional de Barcelona (in the opposite direction).

The closest metro station to the apartment is Poblenou (Line 4 - yellow), just 300 metros from the apartament, which takes you in just ten minutes to historical centre of Barcelona (the Cathedral, Gothic Quarter and the Born).

Finally, this apartment is also an excellent choice for those visiting Barcelona for work or business, and who are searching for accommodation close to the technoplogy district of 22@ or to the CCIB – the location of numerous congresses and exhibitions.
