La Rambla is the most famous street in Barcelona.The often crowded street is popular with tourists and locals alike. The middle part of the Rambla is pedestrianized and bordered by trees, kiosks, flower stalls, animal stalls and street artists are in abundance here.
It is also the artists corner of Barcelona, full of performing artists and mime acts in all shapes and colours, from fairies to devils, talented caricture artists, portrait artists, buskers and dancers of all kind.
In Barcelona you will also see another form of street art very popular between the youngsters: the art of graffiti. From the Eixample to the Gothic, from the MACBA to Plaza Reial, the walls, the window shops and the buildings are covered with graffiti from some very talented and recognized street artists.
*NOTE* Keep an eye on your bag or other personal belongings on Las Ramblas. Pickpockets are notorious for robbing tourists around here.
