The Còrsega apartment is on the first floor of a typical building of Barcelona without elevator. The entrance to the property and the stairs are small,… but don’t judge by the appearances! The apartment conceived as a space of modern design, practical and where the original elements of the original building (ceilings of 4 meters of height, wood beams and some restored doors) combine perfectly with the comforts and the luxury of the most modern apartments.

This pleasant and colorful apartment is made up of two great very luminous spaces:
In one part, the large living room is composed by a modern American kitchen equipped with all the equipment necessary to enjoy a good home-made meal or a romantic dinner; and a very comfortable angular sofa to relax and to watch a movie enjoying the Home Cinema system on the big plasma TV screen. In addition, for all those who are looking for a quite place to work, in the apartment there is a small elevated studio with a comfortable desk and broadband Internet connection with Wi-Fi.

The other part of the flat, separated by a pretty restored wood door, is divided in two different spaces: a large dressing room in the lower part and the room with double bed on top accesible by its original and modern stairs. This space also enjoys great illumination thanks to a magnificent window (old exit of the balcony) overlooking on a typical and calm street of the district of Gracia.

The in-suite bathroom is complete with a bathtub perfect to relax in the candlelight after an intense day of work or sightseeing.

Location

The apartment Loft Còrsega is located in the heart of Barcelona in the Eixample Neighbourhood. This pleasant area was planned by the architect Ildefons Cerdà and built in the mid-19th century to cope with the overflow of the Ciutat Vella and has retained its middle-class and residential flavour.

The Eixample in Barcelona is considerate the birthplace of the Catalan modernism par excellence where one can find most famous set of modernist buildings -Casa Batlló and Pedrera by Gaudí- as well as not so famous buildings amazingly decorated with modernist glass mosaics, sculptures and woodwork.

The main interesting points are concentrated around the Passeig the Gràcia, in the called Quadrat d’Or where fashionable shops, bars and gourmet restaurants make this one of the most cosmopolitan places with the best atmosphere in the city. The apartment is within 5 minutes walking distance from Passeig de Gràcia and 5 minutes walking also from Diagonal Avenue one of the main streets of Barcelona, and considered the most fashion shopping area of the city. The apartment is also a few steps from the lovely Old Village of Gràcia which is a trendy neighborhood in Barcelona where its nice small streets and lovely squares give the area a bohemian and lively flavour.

The surrounding area has very good connections by public transport. There are two different metro station, both located 250 meters away from the apartment: Diagonal (Line 3 and 5) and Verdaguer (Line 4), from where you can get to any tourist attraction and business area in less than 10 minutes trip.
